Is it safe to drive out there yet? Thinking of driving out to Island View or Sarnia area west side of the lake.

Cheers!!

Was driving my duramax from weetou to sarnia yesterday, stopped to let a friend catch up and heard a big snap. The ice cracked right under my truck and water started coming up, watched the crack dip down in the mirror as my back tires went over it.

Not a good feeling being that far out on bad ice, play it safe out there until it gets cold.

We were at Collingwood on the weekend and there was 14" of good, solid black ice.  There was an F-350 driving around no problem and a bunch of 1500s.  Just be safe about it and check before you drive on and don't race around on the ice...oh yeah, and pray for some cold weather!
