I believe that someone will be fishing Willow Slough on Wednesday. With temps below freezing for 72 hours there should be some safe ice there. By no means don't take my word for it. I just know what it takes to freeze this water. If the wind lays down after today than it should be on. just keep your fingers crossed. A lot of fishermen only weigh 150 pounds. I am twice that, but will have to stare at the 4 walls a bit longer. GOOD LUCK AND STAY SAFE.

Ya mean someone will be falling in on Wednesday. There's no way Slough will be ready. The 15 day ain't looking good either. Too may warm days to have safe or any ice. Be safe.

I hope to be on my friend's pond Thursday as long as the wind and snow stop long enough to form ice and it stays at or below the temps the weather is calling for.  The ice freezes very fast there because it is shallow and secluded from wind, I was fishing on 3 inches of ice December 11th after only two days of cold weather.  If I do get out I will be carrying picks, rope, a life jacket, and a spud so I will stay safe.  Just remember to stay safe guys!

Is anyone still duck or goose hunting at the slough?  I dont hunt waterfowl so dont know if season is still in.

Goose Season: Northern Zone  Nov.23- Jan. 8th.   Then again Jan.14-17th.
