Lake Simcoe 2012

Just wondering if anyone has any information on Lake Simcoe's ice conditions, haven't seen any info posted for a while now
its the time of year to grow a beard and go ice fishin'

Last I heard lower Cooks bay is ice covered but not no where thick enough to get on yet. About 1 1/2"-2" of soft ice.
Many other area's still open water.

Thanks for the update, looks like we are getting a nice cold snap this upcoming week, hopefully we can all be out on the hardwater safely soon!

Don't hold your breath, it's +4 and windy from the south, that makes ice go away.  Next couple days will be windy as well, unlikely for any ice to form and blow the rest into ice cubes.
