You boys made the Maine News Today
« on: Dec 29, 2011, 05:31 AM »
It appears that we all are in the same boat this year with the mild temps. Just caught a brief story on the tube of your shacks bobbing in the water. We here have very little ice some of the smaller ponds are locked up but only 4-6" the bigger ponds and lakes are still wide open. We got 1/2" of rain yesterday and temps in the 50's  :P I wish you all cold temps, safe journeys  and tight lines

Houses that had been on 10'' to 12'' of ice went down , temps in the mid forty's along with strong winds, this gets the water on top of ice moving, and before long down goes the house!
I only work so that I can afford to fish, hunt, & farm

I'm on some really good ice, almost a foot of it... ???

This is one of the many reasons I have not messed with permanent shacks in many years.
