Slushmaster/Slushmate
« on: Nov 24, 2011, 11:31 AM »
Anyone ever use the metal ones or I saw a plastic one online.  I know its extra gear to take, but scooping a lot of holes out through the day starts to kill my lower back.
I like the metal ones, it looks like a good product, do they freeze up after a few holes?  That is my biggest concern due to the moving parts and metal combined with water and -10. :-\

Mine is called  a Slush Inhaler and I use it at times while using a portable and 100% of the time in my wheel house. Never have had a problem with it icing up.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

i have the blue fiberglass one, can't remember the name, Inhaler, mate/??

Its a great tool- makes it faster for hole hopping on a bucket, much easier than spoon a pail in a permanent.  its very light too so its not much to add.  the metail hinge does freeze occasionally when hole hopping outside.  Not a big deal, just give it a tap to get it loose before plunging into slush and its not a problem.

I had one of these that I never used for it's intended purpose:

I chopped the end off of it, and bolted on an old scooper. I think it's about 38" now fully extended. No more bending over!

I have the metal variety and it works great inside the permy shack.  They really help to keep water and slush off the floor.  I don't use mine in the portable or when I'm just outside trolling holes...

I really like the telescopic handle idea, I may have to make one of those.  My girlfriend took my daughter Christmas shopping last night, and I think Santa is bringing me a slush inhaler too!  ;)
