LOW questions
« on: Jan 12, 2012, 10:04 PM »
I will be heading to LOW in February with a group of guys and staying at a resort.  The resort provides ice houses and transportation, but do you think it would be beneficial to bring my own transportation, shanty, and auger?  I just don't want to be stuck in a house that is not producing and I may want to target a different species.  Any thoughts?

1. your lucky to even get a night bite!!... most guys dont! 2. LOW is not the lake to just start "moving around" on! most of the lake is extremely jagged!! people most often times only stay on plowed roads!! for good reason!! but bringing your porty and auger/gear isnt a bad idea either as the daylight hrs., your a little more free to see and move around a bit!! i found out the hard way snowmobiling across LOW on a trip to winnipeg!! let's just say, no more trailing arm and a very sore body!! LOL!!

may you have tight lines and good times, we'll see you on the water

Thanks for the replies, I think I will bring the portable and an auger just to be safe.  I will leave the sled at home or else I may be tempted to take a trip from St Paul to Winnipeg - j/k.  I hope the fishing is good because I will be missing the I-500 race in the Soo for this trip.
