New tackle shop in Quad Cities.
« on: Nov 27, 2011, 04:34 PM »
Hi all, just wanted to turn you all on to a fairly new tackle shop in Moline.  J-Mac is the name of the store and it is located on 27th St. Northeast of Southpark Mall.  Tom's prices are significantly lower than most competitors.  The owner makes a lot of his tackle, but there is also a decent selection of Big Name tackle.  It you are in the area, stop by and check it out.  Hopefully we will be drilling holes in a couple weeks.

I've been meaning to swing by there.  Did anyone happen to ask what kind of live bait they will carry this winter?

Really hoping someone in the QC area will stock some shiners.

there aren't really large populations of shiners in the bodies of water around here i think.  we have fatheads for the most part.  i would like to see someone start carrying willowcats.

Not sure about the populations in local lakes, but I think predator fish will still eat the shiners.

Sometimes a look of something different struggling will entice the strike.

Tight lines
