For the guys who don't have the case, how do you have it when fishing? I'm looking for some ideas because i'm thinking about picking one up as a #2day and I don't want to spend the extra $50 for the case if I don't have to. Let's see some pics of what you've come up with!

I bought the case and its well worth the $50.It protects the unit and the unit comes out of its cradle easily to go portable.

I thought about building a case for mine, but having the dual power option of AA and 12 volt power and the protection of the soft case made more sense to me ! There is a box that one guy, Smallmouth man I think it was who built a nice wooden case. it is under showdown case here in this thread somewhere, Good luck !
