Polaris Magnum or Sportsman???

My lady is going to pick out one of two 1999 polaris 500 ATV's..... one is a sportsman with a winch, the other is a magnum. (no winch)  Both are the same price, and both are in very very good shape. (from the pictures i have seen the magnum looks practically NEW)  Anyone out there with experience with these machines care to weigh in with any thoughts.... Have never owned an ATV before and decided with my new property an ATV would be way more versatile for me than a sled so have decided to go with an ATV.  thanks ahead of time. V/R

They are both good machines parked side by side, I would be inclined to go with the sportsman just for the winch, that alone can make the difference between an Interesting day and a truly S--tty one ! ;D

she went with the sportsman, advised by the guy also that the sportsman had more features that I would like. (the winch being one of them)  Very excited, have my wheels for Ice when I get home!! woot-woot
