so bought my new flasher while on a trip to minneaplois never used one before but good thing it comes with a dvd on how to use
Any pointers out there about this unit

Easy as pie, just read up on charging the battery, do it asap and when it is warm.  Other than that a monkey could operate it.

Ya, I agree. Read the manual and besure to baby the battery. Mine drained over the summer, fall and was shot after that. $50 to pick up a new 12v 9a in the city.

Congratulations on the purchase, once you get the hang of using it it'll a great tool to have out there.  I agree with what the others stated about caring for the battery, I just bought 2 12v 9ah batteries for my flashers.  One needed to be replaced for sure the other I just wanted to have more capacity, LOL.

Battey Depot in regina $36.00, just was there last week.
