Has anyone ever used a ray jeff for ice fishing? a friend let me use it i was wondering if it will work before i take it out with me

I don't know how old your Ray Jefferson is. I got my first one in about 1976 and it was junk. If it works ok on open water it should be ok if you get the transducer level. I had a Lowrance green box that was about 10 times better than a Ray Jefferson. Just my two cents.
