Ya, skinny I'd give it another week for sure. I was still in high school the last time I fished, or even walked on ice that thin.

I think that was a good decision not to fish on an 1 1/2" of ice...no one is that "skinny".

Yeah I think we jumped the gun a little to soon that trip. Just got a little itchy.It's all good now though with 16 + inches of clear ice.

You know its sketchy when you only have to to 3-4 turns with your auger...

Not really. I use a Nils hand auger and wouldn't expect nothin less from such a great auger.

Whatever! You can not tell me it only takes 3-4 turns to get through safe ice...
