Ririe?
« on: Jan 20, 2011, 12:43 PM »
I know it was pretty warm last week. Does anyone know if Ririe still has enough ice? If not where is the nearest good spot from Idaho Falls?

Fishing was fair for us today.  We started by the masses due west, northwest of the ramp.  We picked up two cuts fairly quick and there were several groups next to us that picked up 1-2 kokes here and there, but nothing fast and furious.

We moved at about 9 am southwest of the rockpile and no hits until about 11, a small school come through and we only picked up 1 and lost 1 at hole.  They didn't stick around to play.

Ice is 4-5" most places, some places 3" or less but sturdy.  If you get a couple of 4 wheelers together where the ice is a little thinner (like by rock pile) the ice would settle a little and crack.  Scared me once.  Oh, and be careful at the ramp, a little messy but freezing back up.  4 wheelers were able to come off south corner by where rocks meet cement.  Good luck to anyone going out tomorrow, be safe.
