Big Moose Lake Herkimer

unless u have access to the lake don t bother it s all private I suppose you could walk on at The big moose Inn or the Glenmore and fish west bay. Ask the owners if its ok           Good luck

What species of fish are in Big Moose?  I was under the impression that the lake was dead from acid rain.  The Wife and I stayed many times over the years at the Covewood Acres on the lake and the owner had told us about the acid rain problem and the lack of fish.  Hope things have changed since then.
