Adirondack blizzard fishing
« on: Jan 16, 2011, 04:17 PM »
Well not exactly a blizzard but it did snow!

The wife and I hit Sacandaga lake up in Speculator, NY (Adirondack mts)  yesterday. It was -5 at 6:00 am when we got there. Perfect for making beardcicles:

Then the snow came:

It snowed so hard at one point you could not see land:

I didn't let the cold temps or snow stop me. I caught lots of perch. here's a few picts.

But Jenny caught the 3 biggest fish of the day. 1 huge perch and 2 very nice bass:

Great way to spend a cold snowy day with the wife. Keep trying to get mine interested.  Today she said maybe if the shanty was big enough to set up a table to scrapbook on. base camp clam maybe. Great pics.

Nice, no way would my wife go.  She thinks I am crazy for going out in the cold and out on the ice.

great job!
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish.

very nice, you were off the point that is in front of my inlaws camp. if you go around that point on the left side and back in the bay, our camp is in the back left corner.  ;D Glad to see someone catching some fish off the ice up there, WTG!   ;D
