I like using the Gill Pill when fishing shallow water.  My preference is for bright colors and the smaller sizes.  When I fish deeper water (greater than 10 feet) I do not use the Gill Pill.  The jig is too light and it takes a bit of time to travel to the depths I want it to reach.  Sometimes when you have small gills in the shallow depths they swipe your bait before you get a chance to get it down.  In those situations I switch over to a fiska tungston jig.

I'd use the search function and find...oooh about 10 pages dealing with everything from favorite colors, what weights/sizes to use, to how often do you retie them  :)

It's about the only jig I use!
Size 14 in pink glow has been the best this year. But I like the white as well.
