Some one illegally stocked Twin lakes with them and you can find the all around the lake close to the shore. I have had the best luck for perch on the west end close to the dock any were from 5 - 15 FOW. I just use a little jig with a maggot. Plus there some nice rainbow in there to.

Hope this helps

I pulled a few out at around 10" or so. I dont really fish for perch there though when i go to twin its for the rainbows... I Talked to my dad about the perch in twin today. He works with SRD (sustainable resource development) so he works with the fish cops. He was talking to one about the perch and he said theres talk that there going to kill off the whole lake and restart. If they leave it long enough the perch will just do it them selfs.

I think it would be a bad move to kill off the whole lake.  There are alot of awesome rainbows in there.  Heck, who dosnt like having a 10" perch on the line?!
FLAAAAAAAAAAAAG!  Or should I say.... BELL!

just keep takin a limit of perch outta Twin and it'll be good - put & take lakes anyway. I actually don't mind grabbing a feed of perch when the bigger trout are being fussy. I wish the perch were never put in but too late now. It just reminds us to be vigilant and keep an eye out for these people with their own agenda... which seems to be a disease around here. Too much access, not enough Fish Cops

Twin Lakes near Rocky Mountain House...

... as for Cow Lake, the perch hide closer to the weeds and the cutbank on the North shore in winter - hiding from the wolfpacks of Pike - grabbed another 28 incher outta Cow last time.

how close to the shore are the perch? Me and my friend caught a 6lber and a 3 lber on tipups by the shore while waiting for the perch to bite(which never happened/part of the reason why i started this) but the 6lber had wierd two wierd orangy/ pinky wounds on it(not bite wounds i know what those look like). iheard from people its a parasite because of warm water or that it might be bruises.

A very good chance it could be this. I have caught a few walleye that looked the same way.

it kind of looked like the one on the walleyes back(in the picture) but not as big as the ones by the gills. so it was probably a small one.
