looking for perch action

my uncle and i are going tmr and tuesday, and with no luck at isle today, does anyone know where there is a bite.. Willing to drive a few hours.
I heard long lake can be descent, but where do u fish in that lake. any help would be greatly helpful!

Any wheres on the lake can be good. Follow the roads off the boat launch and look for holes. I have found that you just gotta find where they have moved to. One day can be good in one spot, the next day not a one in the same spot. Look for others with fish on the ice. I have found perch all over the lake but you gotta be willing to move and find them. Decent sized perch in there but not alot as it gets fished hard all winter. I have had better luck at N. Buck but long is a good lake with some nice perch and pike and walleye. Need tags for the eyes. Have heard of some Whites getting pulled out but I have never seen one. This lake will have no perch soon, as the walleyes get bigger and more plentyfull. Will end up being like Pigeon. Over run with walleye. I think they should have zero catch limit on the perch there for a few years, as the walleye get bigger and people keeping the bigger perch, soon will have no perch and under feed skinny eyes.

Yeah! Skim some Wallies outta Pigeon- Yummy! I think they want an easy fishery there, catch a fish anytime, anywhere. Pretty much like that now. But if they allow a take, people will complain of slow fishing while the other species fill the niche...
... can't make everyone happy all the time.
