I need help finding some awsome places to go icefishing for either panfish, trout or waleye!!

Lets put it this way, there are a whole lot of really nice producing lakes in NY. Ponds are very good as well. Do a little bit of looking around on the site and you will see people catching really nice fish all over the state. There are probably places near you that few people fish or even know about. Just have yourself a look around and you will find a lot of information. Good luck.

OK ADK, I'll bite since your new here...

First NY is a big place. Narrowing your request for info to a specific lake, county or region might be better.

Second, NO ONE is going to give up their best spot on a public forum.

Third, Your best bet is to go fish wherever you think would be a good choice (by species, open water experience, etc) and learn it. Check DEC stocking reports for lakes with trout and walleyes. Pannies are well distributed throughout the state.

Fourth, come back and post here any questions about the lake you fished, techniques, etc. Guys are willing to share info, but there's a learning curve and no one is going to hold your hand.

Lastly, don't forget to post exactly where you caught the most and biggest fish for each of your outings to make sure you have a lot of company the next time you go out. Good luck this season.

just a couple things= how far do you want to travel
you say panfish =perch, sunfish or crappie ? most bodies of water have some panfish in them
trout= lake ,brown or rainbow ? lake george is a good starting and learning lake for lake trout the other two are not info alot of people will give freely present co. included as far as walleye oneida but if you are looking for a place to just walk up plant your gear and hammer fish you first have to put your time in and go through the learning curve like everyone else . your best bet to start is find a mentor to fish with and go from there . good luck and remember its called fishing not catching so dont get put off if you dont limit out

like stated earlier just use the search thing on here to read other peoples experiences.there is alot of junk but alot of good info here too.sometimes guys tell.get to know people.get your own hot spots andtrade em.but most of all just go to have fun!
