Online ice derby question

seeing as i am new to this site i have a question. how exactly does the online tourney work? I realize you have to sign up,but, are there specific species classes? is it just biggest fish takes all? I am interested in entering but would like to know more first. Also is there any cost involved to enter?

I believe the card is released when the species are on the 31st
