Beating the snow
« on: Dec 15, 2010, 02:07 PM »
I know a lot of MN got dumped on last weekend. I heard some of the big lakes up north are okay but I was just curious if others have been getting out with all this snow. I've heard there is a decent amount of slush on some smaller lakes (might be frozen now though) and pulling out has been quite the workout. I haven't been out since it's snowed but I really want to. I was planning on it today but I toyed around with my new auger instead. I'll most likely be getting out Friday to catch some fish!

It's a mix in Wright County.  Some lakes have most of the snow cleared off by the wind, but you are left with larger drifts every so often.  Other lakes are wind packed with snow, and it's deep.  Just depends where the wind blew and what's around the lake, seems to be different conditions all across some lakes.
