Lake Simcoe Questions

I have been coming up to Simcoe for the last 4years. Always in January. I can't go in Jan. this year. I was wondering when the huts have to be off the lake? 2. And is perch fishing better in Feb. or March. Down here the later the season gets the better the perch fishing, is it that way there? Thanks for any info.

Permanent huts have to be off the ice by March 15.  That's also the end of the whitefish/lake trout season until May.

I don't know when the perch fishing is best, but it seems pretty good all the time to me.  You might just have to fish deeper water later in the season.
