I know what you mean. Have had my gear ready, more or less, for a month and a half now. Ice can't get him here fast enough.

Bluegill rods ready:
Perch, crappie and smelt rigs ready:
Tip ups ready:
Batteries charged:
Shanties ready:
Ice ready: :'(

Just tying up a few more leaders
Need to finish tuning quad

Also making an underwater light. Bought a  section of green LED rope light that I'm putting inside a 2 liter
mountain dew bottle. I've got the high-powered lights that run off my deep cycle but wanted something that would run off a vex battery when I need to travel light.

Nice Ice Blues! I have several and they are still my favorite rods. I am trying a couple of HT's new Shanty Stix this year. 18 inchers for in the shanty. Just need to put some fresh line on the reels and time for ICE.

Sounds like a good idea but how are you going to get the bottle to sink and still stay water tight so that the lights dont short out?

Drill holes in the bottle to let the water in and seal off the top...lights are waterproof.

Those 4" Lazers cut pretty darn quick too.. I wish I spent more time targeting fish that fit through a 4" hole but... I have a family to feed. :P

I had a 4" nils for years and it was great for panfish!  Could drill 3x faster than any 6" auger anyday.
