Typical Canadian Pricing :%$#!: You should buy it from the States and have it shipped to a postal store near the border.

Hey CP

Do you have a link to that website or info for the store that sells them for $250.00? I would like to see what they are asking for the dual beam.

There are many threads on here regarding the Showdown. I have read that, anyone that owns one loves it. I am looking at getting one too. I usually buy something from the States at least once a month. ;D

I would be highly surprised if you could find them for $250 anymore.  I bought mine 3 years ago for $219.

Last year i researched all I could in fishfinders and came to the conclusion that the showdown was the best for the money, I went to cabelas and bought the last one they had and that was the demonstrater.  I feel like I got the last one avaliable east of the mississippi.  My buddies where so impressed that they couldn't wait to get one and are even having a hard time buying one now.  I just bought the troller and with the two it should be a great year.  That should tell you a lot.

I have used one and I think it is some of the best bang for the buck.  I have a FL12 and would rather use the showdown unit.  The zoom on the unit was great.  I don't think they are as good of a deal this year but still a good unit.

They are about $300 in Ontario (still overpriced if you ask me) so you dont have to go cross border to get them. You can order them online from the Ontario board sponsor Riverside Outdoors

Had mine for 2 years and think it's great.  I'd buy another in an instant.

Showdowns and VX-1's sell out first every season.  They can't make enough of them.  Can't wait for my dually to arrive!

At showdownfishfinder.com there on for $349.99 USD for the single transducer and $399.99 USD for the dually.  Add in exchange and shipping, that's close to what you pay for in Canada.
