Clear Lake has skinned over(mostly)

I checked on e few places the other day and only the shallow marshy places had ice but today the lake had a substantiall ice covering that looked to be maybe an inch thick. Didn't get out of the car to check, to cold in the dress clothes I was in(on way to thanksgiving diner). I can't wait to check my fav fishin hole to see if it skimmed over, just can't contain myself anymore. In my ice fever I almost dug out my auger and drilled into the horses outside water bin that was frozen solid at 7 inches thick just to make a partial hole(LOL).

It was frozen good this morning then the wind opened it up I was all pumped to fish the rushes tonight and went back over there and it was all opening back up.........  Darn wind needs to die then we will be set.

I did land some largies tho at an undisclosed location

yeah drove around lake yesterday on my way home and the wind really opened her back up what a mess ice heaves were everywhere  but some of the bays and rushes still had ice
