Any one having any luck lately at burchard lake.

Was down there today with a buddy, we brought home 60 crappie & Gills.  I would hate to guess how many fish actually caught.   We caught a few dink perch and 1 little bass but hammered the gills and crappie.  Fished from around 8 am until around 1:30.  Was a good day fishin.

i have caught huge gills there....but the crappie always seem small...you find any that were of size ? and you are the first person to ever mention catching a perch that i have heard of .

Ya the 6 crappie we brought home where 12", caught a bunch of small ones so the future looks good.  We always catch some perch, but they always seem to be dinks.  Someone has to be catching nice perch every now and then just don't know where on the lake.

I usually catch Perch there too.  Usually small.  I think 8" has been the biggest one I've pulled out of there.  Usually fish deep.  20+ FOW.

This is a question for the gentlemen that I talked to on the lake on Monday did you guys end up catching any fish that day - evening worth talkin about.  Also enjoyed meeting fellow iceshanty members.  Nice talkin to ya both.

Hey Brian,
Nice meeting you also. We stayed until 11PM. We caught alot of Gills after you had left. The biggest were around 9 inches. Only kept a few and released alot of small ones. The Crappie really started to hit once it got dark. It was exactly what I expected to happen. Caught them all evening. The biggest one we caught was a hair over 11 inches. Most were on the small side and put back in the water to catch again. We had fun and it was great to meet another ice shanty member. Hope to see ya on the ice again!
