I have a wooden box that is about the size of a 5 gallon bucket with the top corner on one side cut away at a fourty degree angle which makes a hole large enough to fit a lantern in then I use the box as a seat with the lit lantern inside and if it gets really cold I wrap a tarp around me as a blanket and stay nice and warm.

My 4 mantle lantern is a monster for kicking out heat and providing light.  No need for a heater for me.

I use two, two mantle lanterns and my shanty was 90 degrees before I could turn them down. I had to leave the door open most of the time or I would of sweat to death. If you want a warm shanty, use R-Board. By the way my shanty is 8X8.

I've got the frabill trekker 2 and with my sport cat heater i stay comfortable. I work outside all day 6 days a week so I'm pretty comfortable regardless of heat source. The buddy heater is freakin awesome but a little much for me. Lil bubba (my youngest son)is saying that it is just about right.....on high. Lol. Kid is cold next to a wood fire. Anyway the lantern is great to for night fishing so hey its your call.

I prefer the big buddy and the led lights that attatch to your hat, gives me more room in the tent
and also when you go check tip-ups, clean up or move you can see what your doing

I bought a coleman catalytic tent heater for 15 bucks at walmart.  I can use it in the clam 2000 and it stays almost too warm even on the lowest setting and it uses the small propane cans....one lasts a whole weekend.  On days when i don't use the shelter I still bring it along because it is good for warming up my hands.
