Since this has been a forum topic recently...........

http://www.thornebros.com/winter/rods/thorne/power_noodle.html

Just broke mine in today, see my post this date. One nice rod, pricey, but really nice. Ii got tired of spending $20.00 a rod/reel combo only to be disappointed, so I spent more on a few good rods than the same on many lesser quality rods.

sensitive as in which way?  More flexible rod tip?  More stiff rod tip.  Better bite feedback - visual detection vs hand detection?  It can go either way for me...a super flexible noodle rod or a quick ultra light rod.

i had a thornes bros rod and really not worth the money after you break one...believe me
you can get 3 rods for the price of one of these and they really dont catch any more fish than my other rods i use
i have a rod made by st croix $19 and if it breks ill be getting anothe one

I have an HT Polar Lite, medium lite action, has good backbone for those jumbos and using bigger jigs, but with 4lb fluoro you can still use small jigs for pammies and crappies. I opted for this instead of an UL model rod because we get a lot of jumbos here and eyes are mixed in sometimes...

I've been doing really well lately for deep perch using Frabill Quicktips and a St. Croix Legend ML.  I was so impressed with my first Frabill that I ran up to Cabelas to get another one, but they had put away a majority of their ice fishing gear and none was available.  I didn't give up that day and headed straight to their Bargain Cave and there it was.  A Quicktip marked down to $24.99, so I inspected it closely, found it perfect and headed straight to the check-out line.  The perch that I've been
catching lately have been hanging out between 48' - 62'.

I have also caught perch shallower than the above mentioned depths, so they are good all-around perch/panfish rods.

I have two St Croix 17 and a 24 with medium lite springs out of eight rods nothing comes close three are HT ice blues. I do plan on making some rods and adding a ST Croix spring matched with with grafite fly reels, that should take the line twist out .

Not sure how sensitive you are looking for. I picked a couple of the Frabill 27" Quick Tip rods at Scheels for half price. They have a very sensitive tip with alot of back bone. The tip has a orange ball on end to help see.
