just wondering if anyone made it out there today and how was it.

I was there, drilling holes to help Steve out, as usual he did a great job! Although he won't take any of the credit. We were able to drive out with trucks, some brought their cars down..... There were 86 people registered with, 29 fish being caught. The biggest of the day was a 28 smallest was a 8" all northerns. A lot of fun was had by all, MGEU provided hot chocolate and Doughnuts while Brandon Correctional provided hamburgers and hotdogs. Steve had several donations from local people and businesses, everyone went home  with something. This was the sixth year.....I guess the weather can't always cooperate but it was fun none the less, lots of kids out which was great to see.

man that sounds like a  good time. nice turn out and number of fish good to see lots of kids out there.
lots of people i talked to didn't Even know it was on. they need a little more advertising.

Yeah it started out as just a jail thing, and has turned into something for everyone. CKLQ was involved this year, hopefully next year we will do some advertising! I was surprised to see this post on here even.....

I'd probly come out from wpg to fish that sometime. I grew up in minnedosa, my mom used to own the flower and gift shop in town there. How's fishin on the lake in minnedosa there? Used to fish with my grandpa there when I was younger.
