Can you take a torch to the junction? Or put it in a vice and use something like ball joint fork/separators. If you can put it upright in a vice you may even be able to use the powerhead running to power out of the auger's socket on the shaft.

Mine was a little stubborn first time but after awhile it became easy. I swap between 8 + 10 inch depending on the weather/season.

I'll give her a try tomorrow. My buddy should have a pickle fork and will use heat with it. Thanks Ken

soak it with Liquid wrench. Once you get it free use a little never seeze on it.

I got it to move using 2 cold chisels and heat. Pickle bar I couldn't get. I am still at it have 1/2 of bolt hole showing yet but it is coming. Will see if open end wrench will fit on shaft if opening is big enough and keep going around it, tapping  with ball peen hammer. (Can't go fishing anyway my back is still sore. That one walleye caused me a whole lot of pain. Well the darn auger  really did put it out.) The collar has a rubber gasket to keep water out. It even melts with heat. They don't call me the Finnish genius just for the hell of it.  Ken

It is finally off, used power blaster some heat rubber mallet screwdriver steel chisels anything with square sides to get it moving. You also can spray down the auger shaft from cutting end. Thanks all  Now to overhaul the  carb!

Finished it had one heck of a time getting it back on output shaft. Finally started motor and used a file on shaft , didn't take long just shined it up. The darn steel collar slipped a little too had me puzzled for a bit trying to line bolt hole up.
On the carb just took the 4 screws out of bottom and sprayed the heck out of it. Also the one mixture needle on carb. The screen was full of junk. Looked like gray gun powder. I didn't have a repair kit and took a chance.  Put it back together got it started . Had a inch of new mix in tank added sea foam and ran the hell out of it. Lucked out rpms picked up and it ran good.
Will try it tomorrow, its been 5 weeks since my back -rt leg went to hell while getting it started. I FEEL GOOD for the first time since it happened.-just hope tomorow is the same. Thanks
