Ice fishing around Madison, SD
« on: Feb 02, 2010, 10:00 PM »
Looking to go out this weekend and hoping someone knows where I might find a few fish?  Been to the 81 Ponds and Brandt the last 2 weekends with no luck.  Haven't heard of many people doing really well so am trying to figure out where to head this weekend.  Thanks for any info you have!

I have not heard of anything great, also looking where to go for the weekend.  I may try Poinsett, may take the big shack down and try a overnight down there see if i can catch a night bite for the walleyes down there.  Probabley catch 950 am's outdoor show on Thursday and see what they have to say too and see if i stick with the same plan.  anyone know how the snow load is down that way on the lakes? hard to drive around or not?

You could try Long Lake, just south of Madison. I have heard of some smaller perch being caught. Otherwise Oliver over by Cochrane has been decent for perch.
Wherever you go.......there you are.
