Has anyone thought of using or has used thier mapping/GPS units from thier boats on thier sleds or ATV's? If so, how did you go about hooking it up or is it a waste of time and money and better to use the hand held version?

If your talking about the Graph/Gps fishinders, i see it as a big pain and waste of time. Might as well buy a lowrance m68 ice machine or a humminbird 300 series portable. They do handheld gps mounts for your sled or 4 wheeler.

I took my Lowrance Lms 480 screwed the Puck to the front fender use the ball mount extinction on the handle bar. a small remote battery witch can take ten amps for five hours and my unit pulls nothing close to that I would not have it any other way. The hand held models can be found in the lost and found all the time as they fall off and get lost in the snow.JMO.
