A friend and I were talking, we think pound for pound, big bluegills are more aggressive than any big bass we've caught, what a blast to catch! Great fish man!

Does seem like big gills will hit moving baits harder than any other fish through the ice.

Ya know the fishin is bad when you have to take pictures of mounts.
Caught in 1995 at Spring Valley G.C., Livermore, Iowa.  12.5"  3.5 pounds
That is a legal sized playing card and a cat named Pooter.
This is the unofficial state record, by the way there is one more of these in my freezer.  She swam in the Cabelas tank for 18 months and died.  They weighed "Big Bertha" also at 3.5 pounds.

Nice fish.  I caught a couple also, but a friend said he thought they might be hybrids.  Look like every other gill ive ever caught.  Whats the difference?  I dont think ive ever caught hyhbrids.

Very nice fish.  For size there some of the fightingest fish out there also some of the tastiest.
