i need to find some large shiners for pike fishing does anybody know were i could get some.
i went by a small baitshop today called Mooney's and i guess ill try it tonight to see if it has any. If it doesn't though does anybody know were i could get some. i would like to try pike fishing for the first Time

I was at Stones Bait & Tackle, 850 Lisbon Street Lewiston and he had lots of Jumbo Shiners. His are only $8 a dozen.

The shops around here were/are getting more for big shiners than smelts and they have a hard time keeping them in stock. Thats why I trap my own.

i stoped at mooneys and they have real nice large shiners 6-9 for 7$ a dozen mediums for 5$ small for 3$ and 7 $ for smelts. Thats were i will be going because its close to my house

The Jumbo shiners are around 5"-6" at $8.00 dozen and the Large Shiners are at $7.00 dozen. The price may seem high to some of you, but the going rate at several local area bait shops is $10.00 dozen and they will all run out by the end of the year.
