4 in hand auger

I see a holes drilled with 4 in. auger...who still makes the 4 in.? ...I think jiffy and strikemaster both only go down to a 5 in.now ..not sure  :tipup:

I'm pretty sure Mora still makes one. Mine is a Lazer. I still rarely use anyting more than my 5" for a lot of reasons but cutting through thick ice is so much easier. I never lost a fish because the hole was too small.

I just got a 4" Finbore for christmas. It uses the 4" lazer blades but actually cuts a 4.5" hole as I suspect the Lazer does. Nils makes a 4.5" auger also. You can get the 4" Finbore from Fish307 for $80 and they charge a little under $10 for shipping. The Finbore is all Swedish made, none of that chinesse crap. KJ Mora sells several model augers in 110mm but the Finbore is the only one available in the US.

I have had a 4" Mora for at least 12 years.   Lot easier drilling when the ice get thick.
