we were just north of selkirk 2 or 3 weeks ago on a beautiful sunny morning. by noon the wind had picked up to about 60-70mph. luckily we were in a solid shack, but i sure feel sorry for whoever it was that had the portable gray car shelter out there. i had actually zoomed in on it with the camera earlier just playing around (new camera) and got not a bad pic of it. it was about an hour later i was outside when the wind ripped it out of the ice and sent it tumbling across the ice. i would have got video of it but i set the camera wrong. it went pretty much straight east, and a little south before it got stuck about 10 feet up in the tree's. 10 min later it was gone from there to. felt bad for the owners but there was nothing that could be done. we drove by on the way out at about 3:00, 3:30 and all that was left was the two rather comfy looking chairs. tent might still be up on the east treeline somewhere, but with the wind that day it probably beat us to beausejour. didn't catch anything that day either. anybody else out there that day? i do actually have a before and after pic of that shelter. now ya see it, now ya don't. stuff happens
