Is lighting necessary in a flipover
« on: Dec 02, 2009, 06:09 PM »
Been out of the hardwater fishing for quite a while.  The wife and I have bought a Trekker II flipover and I was wondering how dark it will be inside during the day time.  Is lighting needed, or is it only for night fishing?

nope, unless you are fishing at night, and then it does not matter if you are in or out of the flipover..youd still need it

Some people use lights to brighten things up a bit and add a bit of heat, but they are not needed

Not during the day, unless you don't have any windows. My flip over has 3 square feet of window area and it's a good brightness inside. If you don't have clear plastic windows then I would either get some, or get a light to go inside.  I have seen some shacks that don't have plastic windows. It's either totally open to the outside, or totally blacked out from the fabric.

it has windows.  think there was 4 of them in it.

I will probably pick up some lighting just to have it if the fishing is good and it's getting dark out.  :D

Or get a decent head light.
That way you can use it inside or while your outside packing up your stuff.
