id say the inhalers may be good for thick ice with alot of slush or in a perm shanty but seems like wasting valuable space on the sled when a normal lightweight scoop works just fun but hey to each his own. alott of times i can clear the slush out of the hole with the auger itself

He doesn't want to shovel slush out of his shack! Doing the big plunge with your auger in a perm shack is also a good way to freeze it down hopelessly! If you dip all the slush out of an 8'' hole in 30'' of ice, you will fill a couple pails.

Im thinking if it takes ya that long, you should go to the doctor and see what is wrong with you...  :o :o :o
Let me see, hmmmmmm  carpeted floor in wheel house, 34" of ice, six eight inch holes,  divided by ten minutes. Doesn't seem too far out of line to this old coot. Now, if ya put my fishin buddy in my way at every hole thinking that he is being of some help, ten minutes seems pretty darn fast.  :o ;D
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

my plan was to use this ONLY for my perm. shack. and there would be 18inch to 30++ inches of ice depends on when in the year.  it just seems that when we take the big house out a guy has to spend a while scooping out holes.  in perm there is lots of shavings that stay in the holes.  after filling a few 5gal pails just want to speed this step up. I also see no need for them if out fishing in the flip over shack.  have seen some good ideas to try before next year to build my own too.  50 some bucks is some cash to spend on it and did not want to buy it and then not use it much either.  i think i am going to try to build my own over the summer with some of the ideas on here and see how that goes first.

ive never used one but i have seen them, and they look too big and bulky. unless you want to lug around one, i wouldn't recommend it, although it would be easier to get the slush out but that's where a big spoon comes in! ;D

Check out a slush master from strike master and your house floor will be a lot dryer and no ice to be taken out of your hard side.

LOL, anyone that thinks using a skimmer is better than a slushinhaler has never used one or seen one used. They are the cats meow in a permy. When I get there in the AM i can be fishing in less time than it takes to take a leak after drilling my hole. Try tat on 24 inches of ice with a skimmer. Only prob I have using the slushmaster or my gator is the slush comes back up the other holes.

if i were to go as fast as possible i could get er done in less than 5 min but i dont like wet socks the it freezes at night and keeps building up thats why i take my time scooping slush! and a guy usually throws the rattlers in after getting one scooped out..

Sounds like an inhaler would be perfect for you.  For those that have not used one, you simply lower it into the hole, let go of the lever that alows the trap to close and lift it out. there might be enough slush left over in the hole to fill a pop can. Takes ,what, 5 seconds to clean a hole? Lift it over a 5 gallon bucket, empty it and do the next hole. I can have my 7 holes in my permy done in less that 2 minutes if I have somone to empty the bucket while I fill another one.

I really like mine "Slush Inhaler" Works great in the hard side, cant see why you would want or need to use one with or in a portable house. Sure saves a lot of time in the late season, also helps to keep the house floor dry. There made in Fergus Falls MN
I only work so that I can afford to fish, hunt, & farm
