sunday my friend brett and i went out for the day . had my 1st flag while i was setting up my 4th trap . pulled out about 10 feet of line and dropped the bait . shortly later brett got a flag pulled a ton of line out and dropped the bait . then a hit and run for me then another flag for brett pulls it in and loses a nice brown in the hole, about 14 inches . then he gets the next 4 flags couple hit and runs and 1 more pulling out a ton of line only to drop the bait . so i decide to jig for a lil bit , nothing nothing nothing then i finish my beer so i put down the jig rod on top of a bucket walk to get a beer and i start hearing thunk thunk thunk . i turn around and my rod is banging on top of my bucket im like oh @#$% run to it and grab it feel a nice tug then i reel in a nice lil brown just over 14 inches . where i was standing i kind of made a puddle digging at the ice so i tossed him in the water and he was swimming around my puddle . not 5 minutes later i get the last flag of the day another brown barely 14 inches . and she went swimming with her brother lol . my 1st browns of the season . ive ate a few trout this season so i am going to take them to an old timer at work , he doesnt fish but likes fish so ill hook him up . we fish another hour no more flags . had a fun day with a good friend . will post pics a video later .

I told you that you need the Rubberbands.....I'll make you a Rubberband Man by the end of the season....probably would have had more fish on the ice.....Can't wait to see pics....

i am going to be the first before everyone else jumps on you.. Those fish need to be killed imediately.. or released.. get ready for the onslaught mike, and lacy you should know that as well.. 8)

you should know me better than that! i didn't fish that day. when i saw the pictures and video i was very disappointed as well. i gave mike crap for doing that and making the fish think they had a chance. i felt bad.

i cant remove the post, but i can the pictures. will inform bigdadde when he gets up that the whole idea of posting pics and video's of fish kept alive after being caught is NOT a good idea.

i really dont care what anyone thinks of me catching 2 browns within 5 mionutes of each other and letting them swim in a puddle of water for another 10 minutes, before they parted this world . is it really worse than people catching "junk fish" and throwing them on the ice for eagles . or catching a pile of perch and the whole auger thing . how many people on here thought that was cool awesome funny. how humane is that?

?? but since it was a trout people want to give me crap oh well . guess ill need a bigger puddle of water come pike fest . and chris no need to be upset with lacy she didnt catch the fish put them in the water and wasnt even there . she just did what i asked and that was to post my pics and video .

mike, I wasn't upset with Lacy.. I know they were your fish... I don't care either way waht ya did with them.. All I was doing is being the first person so mention it before the bashing came thats all.. hell drill a series of partial deep holes and make a livewell on the ice.. I am not the one to give you a summons...

With Browns they will hit your bait then they may drop it. I have had good luck after they drop it to jig it up and down then they usually will come back around and nail it.

my friend had a couple pull out probably 50 feet of line and let it go , but the day ended up nice .

I have been ice fishing forever, does anyone want to shed some light on this rubberband secret before I spend .78 cents at mardens. I am heading up to the big lake next weekend. any help landing a few fish would be appreciated.
