Ocean/Boysen trip monday/tuesday

a friend and i planning a run to ocean and possibly boysen this week. plan on leaving town sunday 1am and hitting ocean early on monday for the day. the boysen run will be dependent on what goes on at ocean. there is a good snow hitting us right now and this is our first trip to ocean/boysen. good ice at each still? any local warnings to shy away from possible sketchy areas?

then, of course, anyone gonna be around to say howdy from IS?

ps... maybe i'll make a trip to healy and yank my 50 perchies out this weekend after reading the healy thread below... i'd love to see that waterhole get back to decent fishies and a 'eye or two!

I fish Boysen this morning 3 am to 1pm.  I got 3  walleyes by 6 AM and not a bight after that.  1 24 inch fish, 120 and an 18.  Sorry no pictures.  There was a camp of 5 campers out in front of poisen creek and a friend said they were catching fish but not sure how many or what.  The Ice was about 21 inches and very safe.

thanks for the info! taking the camera with us and hope to have some nice pics to post up... it's been a bad season for me this year... maybe this trip will save us!
