ok so i take the wife and boys out to a spot i never fish.didnt do to bad.we had our share of flags.the boys were in training how to tend to there flags but some times the excitement takes over but they did real good.im a proud step dad.also cant forget mrs.shiner did the first video shes in training too.lol did better than i do huh?

my congratulations go out to the Shiner family. Awesome to see the whole family out there. Mrs. Shiner sounds like she knows her stuff. I inadvertently deleted my daughters first fish on a tip up from 2 weks ago...I'm bummed. she too landed a bass, it her best day fishing to date...Anyway good job boys.

as long as the kids have a good time thats all that matters. good job and keep them fishing. i got my 3 year old going this year for the first time

thanks guys for the great post my boys were happy to read your post they are 6 n 7.they were smiling as they were reading.it was fun to bring them out there,it brings back memories of my dad doing it for me.you guys are the best thanks.frozen

Setting up the tilts for the kids: 1.5 hours
Straightening out the rats nest of line: 20 minutes per fish
Trying to communicate in Kid Talk: all day
Not having to say "Watch your mouth, Watch your mouth": relief

Listeinng to Ben Screaming for you.. "DAD, DAD, DAD, I GOT MY FIRST FISH!!" PRICELESS!

Gives me GOOSEBUMPS just watching these videos! So terrific!

Good job Dad! I wish those days for me, were back.... Now its "Dad, my car is making a funny noise" A ploy to get me to take it for a drive and fill it up with gas

I caught onto this one though after 3 tanks!

Thanks guys for sharing with us your family outing on ice. My youngest daughter started tagging along with me hunting and fishing at the age of 6 or 7. Together we hunted turkey in the spring,deer in the fall and her favorite of ice fishing. Nothing could ever erase the feeling I had as I walked out of the woods with her carrying her own spring gobbler over her shoulder. Or the time when she happened to be jigging over a real honey hole and icing one perch after another, and overhearing guys not all that far away ribbing each other on how that young girl was outfishing their buddies. These are moments fathers hold deep in their hearts, and when these same fathers see others do as he did, it sure feels wonderful. Keep up the great work. Both you and your wife. jockofish
