Island Lake Brighton
« on: Feb 15, 2009, 08:34 PM »
Has anyone Ice fished this lake? I've fished it once and did good on gills but I own some property on there and it is a private lake. I know I've slayed Bass, crappie and Gills out there, I read the stocking reports and they used to stock walleye but I've never caught one or a pike out of there.

Well I don't actually live there it's a long story, but there was a condemed house here 42 30 38 27N 83 44 38 07W  and so I bought the land in hopes of building a house
well the city is giving me grief over drainage issues and lot size so I said screw it. I brought in 15 yards of sand and sodded the rest and called it a beach lol. Its on Island lake drive. You catch Superior Dr off of Grand River.

What do you think about the fact that the DNR planted a pretty good amount of walley there but I've enver caught one. The population if there is one has to be almost non existant. I know its a good gill and crappie lake.
