I have the shanty that got broke into still on the ice! Would you leave it out till thurs when its suppose to get cold or would you not chance it? We do have it  on blocks to keep it from freazing in.  We could have a bet to see  if it will make till thurs.?

We're getting an inch of rain tomorrow, high winds, and a temp of 56. The ice will probably survive, but your shanty might end up going through with the war m water circulating against the sides of the shanty, creating a warm water whirling effect that will screw you over! Im getting mine off here in 15 minutes. DONT RISK IT! I almost sunk mine during the first warmup in December we had.

Definitely sucks but I would have to say get it off.

I have to agree. Get it off the ice for a week and you should be good to get it back out for the rest of the winter after that.

yup, get it off.  if it freezes in you will have a hard time getting it free again and you wont have to deal with it if it goes through

  Fishlight, I wouldn,t recomend fooling around with mother nature, if you can get it off do it, but be careful. Don't take any chances that are not nessesary!!!

the longer you wait the harder its going to be to get it off.  i let mine stay out once before thru a warm spell and the ice melted a ring around it from the wind blowing around it
