I am not sure for southern vermont but i know i have seen some monster pike caught on lake champlain.  I dont remember what bay it was some where near the draw bridge, also i would check to make sure the bays are frozen over.

The north end of Bomo is an ideal pike spot, as well as parts of Glen lake where they say the big one resides. Glen is a slow lake, but usually not to crowded, and when you land one, it's always a nice fish, beautiful rainbows, and like I said that is where the monsters live, if you can get em.
If you aren't catchin any fish, you're not drinkin enough beer!

i would have to agree about retreat meadows in brattleboro. been there once this year and it was a lil slow, but we did get some fish, and there is a chance of landing a big one.  if that doesn't work for ya, i would call the bait shop down in brattleboro and ask them for maybe some tips. they were very helpful when i went there.  they mentioned a couple set backs on the nh side of the river that are supposedly pretty good, and i am sure they would be more than willing to give ya some directions.
My dream is clear, it involves fishin' n beer

Has to VT certified bait, need to have a bait slip from dealer as to where you are going to fish.BB

Catching big fish is like winning the door prize!
Have to be there to win!!!!
