So, is there anyone who is definately going next Thursday, February 12th to Erie to fish with Capt. Mike..............and me of course!

Would love to go but can't get a hold of Capt. Mike.I'm sure he's busy. If you don't have a problem with it I can make it. I would be driving from NW Indiana but that's not a big deal at all.  send me a PM with your email or #.  I would really love to make this happen but I don't want to step on your toes and I'm a little embarrassed inviting myself along. Hopefully the ice will still be OK by then.  I was wanting to get out weekend before the week of higher temps.

You are not stepping on my toes at all.  I have simply told folks here that I am going next week and wanted to see if anyone else was going and I could meet them up there, that's all.  As far as the ice goes, it will be fine.  I am welcoming the higher temps to melt some snow and hopefully turn the bite on a little.  You can always send Capt.Mike a PM from here to get in touch with him.  Hope that helps!

Yep, search for Capt. Mike.  You can see his posts over in the OHIO General area quite often.  Just click on his name and select to "PM" him.  I'm sure he has plenty of room considering its a weekday.

Not to Hi-Jack your post.... but my brother and i are heading over in the morning to hook up with capt. Mike. Suppose to hear from him tonight.... hope it's good news that the fish are biting, if so, it will be like a kid trying to sleep on christmas eve for me tonight...... I can't wait!!!!

A buddy and I were planning on contacting Capt Mike and going next Thurs/Fri but I am worried about the ice conditions we will have by then.  What are everybody's opinions on this warmer weather and a big lake, like Erie?

i went out with capt mike today and was planning on going thursday after talking to mike and watching the ice get thinner as we were out there i doubt the ice will be safe so i won't be making the trip
