Flashers - How much snow/water is OK?
« on: Jan 18, 2009, 08:47 PM »
Today was the first day that I used my new Marcum VX-1P (sweet!), but it was snowing like crazy and the amount of snow/ice building up on the face was starting to concern me. How water resistant are these units? I'm probably just being overly cautious, but I don't want to trash the thing either!

Thanks!

Water is not a problem, you can use them on your boat in the summer, they are sealed units.  MarCum does not make and ice sheild so that snow/ice/water that accumulates can be a bit annoying but won't hurt the unit.
