2008 Chevy Silverado 3500 Crew Cab Long Box.
6.6L Duramax - Deleted emissions, EGR blocked & EFILive tuned.
6-speed Allison Tranny - TransGo Jr. shiftkit & deep sump pan.

2011 F250 4 door long bed. Next truck will be a F350. I need more payload for pulling a 5er. Current truck only has 2900lb of payload. If I wasn't pulling a big trailer I'd have probably bought an expedition.

My wife doesn't think I need a lot of what I have.  She quit, after I started going through her stuff!  Get your truck!!!
That could apply to 90% of us, I like your solution,  I think I could end the discussion just by starting in the shoe closet

1994 ford escort wagon, pea green color and my otter thermal fits perfect. My snowdog machine is moved by tacoma only if it's deep snow. . Love my taco, but the escort it the daily driver and don't care about the looks.

A piece of junk. Got tired of me worrying about folks running into me. I live in a town full of people who should not be driving. Old folks and unlicensed Immigrants. Got sick of dents and dings in my nice vehicle so I bought a junker. Wife and kids hate it. It's an 06 F150 with 126000 on it now, it might last for several more years.

I had a 05 F150 that when I traded it in had a little over 250,000miles on it.

Take a kid ice fishing

How big is your trailer?

Going to be looking for a older vehicle in a few months and wondering what people drive. Iíve pretty much have just had pickups with the exception of 2 jeeps. A wrangler then a liberty. My wife thinks I donít need a pickup. Hoping once I have my surgeries iíll Be able to fish again and want something that can handle fishing equipment.

There's the problem, wife thinking for you.  YOU need to be comfortable.  I have a 1500 RAM and with my f/u back I can slide in and out without too much misery when the back decides otherwise.  Wife has a Jetta and although the seats are also very comfortable, I have to "go down" to get in, doesn't work well for me.   I would suggest go and try various brands,  I won't ever ride in a GM, lie sitting on an un upholstered milk crate.  Fords are a little too stiff for me.  Canyon/colorado is another waste of time,  Toyota tacoma, nope,  Nissan Frontier was amazingly comfortable on long rides.  Again, do whats best for YOU.

My road car is a 03 Buick century with a 3.6 with 140,000 miles.  UGLY as all get out with gold exterior and a tan cloth interior.  BUT it was Free( mother in laws) plus it gets 35 mpg!!!!!     I commute 80 miles a day to work and 20 bucks and I'm good for the week!!

How big is your trailer?

Current trailer isnt huge but the wife wants a 5th wheel that will end up having around 2000lb of pin weight. That will about max out my F250. Not much difference between a 250 and 350 except suspension and the payload number on the door tag. Big difference is potential liability of running a truck that is overloaded. I dont want to go down that road.

Main driver 99 Jeep Cherokee.  Leave the rear bench folded down all the time.  Enough room for two of us with all our ice or waterfowl gear.  Roof rack works great to strap down a pair of Jetsled XLs.  During the summer it gets a pair of ski racks added to carry catfish and\or trout rods.

Towing\big game truck is 97 Chevy K2500 Silverado package extended cab short bed 454 full tow package.
