Baitcaster freezeup

just though I would share this with anyone else thinking about superbraids and the difference...last winter I had Spiderwire Stealth on my Shimano with no problems....respooled after the softwater was over with Spiderwire Fusion....MISTAKE..... it picks up way too much moisture and freezes up the eye on the levelwind along with the rod tip.....Never experienced that with the stealth.....likely due to the teflon coating......Grump

I have been told that spraying the reel with blakemore reel magic should fix your issue.

Grump....Your mistake was definitely going to the Fusion.  That's about the most worthless superline you can buy.  I've bought it a few times, and I kicked myself everytime after the first purchase, wondering why the hell I would go back to it.  It's worthless during summer...but I really found that it's especially bad during cold weather, when it kept freezing up while pike fishing last fall.

I knew it within the first few minutes on the hardwater sunday.....the only reason I bought it was the Stealth I was going to respool with, was not in stock.....I would have been better spooling with clothesline!!!!!....Grump :o :o
