Any idea the value of an old one? Also, concern with the weight, were they extremely heavy years ago?

Seats and the canvas look like a Clam Yukon from the early 2000's.

As long as the fabric is in decent shape it's worth a couple hundred dollars.

Not sure the condition of the canvas, but I have seen some of those for sale around MN lately going for about $100.  They were not the insulated type, so that may come into your needs.  Yah, they were heavy when initially proposed.

It could be a Yukon or an older guide
Also make sure the tub is in decent shape
 I say around 100-150 tops

Seat and rails are what makes it heavy. Remove and use a bucket or some other form of seat or light chair.  Those seats are not really comfortable if you plan on sitting for very long. I use a roll up chair in a bag for my older clam blazer which is bigger overall than my clam scout with same seating setup as one pictured. Another plus with a 2 man using other seats is more room if using as a one man.

Popup chair is a good idea. These seats look unconfutable. Especially compared to the new ones.
I'll go for it and see if sled and canvas are in good condition. worth the ride.

This begs a good question:

What flip over has the most comfortable seats?

I’ve owned clam , frabill and Eskimo
I liked the frabill and Eskimo seats , clam not so much , find a portable light weight chair and remove those 2 and  lighten the load , I made my clam X2 into a 1 man nothing like elbow room 😉

Folding chairs fit well enough in the tub without taking up too much room?

Only experience in a flip over is a buddy' 2 man frabill (unsure of the model), and the bench seat leaves a lot to be desired in the padding department. But the storage under the seat bench, as well as in the tub is nice.

I'm okay with hauling some extra weight if it means less individual loose items and still packs down small enough to fit under the hard bed cover in my short bed truck. But I'd also replace them if they're all not very good.

Looks like my clam guide that I've had since 2005. The seats are heavy as hell. I removed one of the seats and moved the other one a little bit towards the center, making it a really nice one man hut with tons of room.

If that is a Clam Trap Guide, that is what I have and no way mine weighs 84 lbs. I bought mine used about 10 years ago and I don’t know how long he had it. If I had to guess, I would estimate no more than 50 lbs.  mine is not insulated if that was an option back then.

The original seats weigh 13lbs each, so 26lbs just to plant a butt. Plus Clam lists the set-up weight as 82 lbs on the original manual.

Good lord that's a lot of weight just in seats. It's like they never heard of aluminum

Its definitely not fun with those seats. They were sort of comfortable when they came out, but terrible compared to the seats of today.
