worse anchor ice I have ever seen at Van Everest access . Good news is Georgia beach ice looks good .

That was open water last week.

Yeah, I scouted the inland sea Saturday morning (fished Mallett's in the afternoon after getting bait for Sunday, -F and the wind blowing) just to see how things locked up after the deep freeze.
VE looks horrible, wheelers even sleds won't be getting on at that launch anytime soon.
Even trying to get on by foot will be incredibly challenging, would have to navigate all that broken up anchor ice for several hundred yards before it smooths out.
Georgia Rec Park lot was overflowing full Sunday, ramp is un-plowed, ice is skating smooth once on though.
KillKare SP & Hathaway launch is fine too, if you care to make to drive all the way around.
8" of ice at rec park yesterday, decent steady eater size yellows roaming around.

Anchor ice is fun. On the other side of the lake I made it to a reef one year only to drill through 5ft of anchor ice in most spots. With some areas if 1" of ice to keep it interesting.

Hey Mudchuck. Was anyone fishing off of Killcare?

I saw a couple out closer to lazy lady, no one off killkare/hathaway point

Thanks for the update mudchuck.
Had errands to run in St. Albans this morning and took a ride by the lake on the way back.
About a dozen vehicles at the St. Albans fishing access ramp.
No one at Kill Kare.
A few people at the Georgia rec park.
Van Everest is trashed as stated before. There was one truck there with no one in it and someone fishing way out past the messed up ice chunks. :o
I might fish the rec park tomorrow. First trip was yesterday at Keeler and caught 2 dink perch.
